China becomes the main source of computer viruses

China is the single biggest source of viruses, accounting for 11.8% of the world's viruses, according to managed security company Network Box Ltd.
China also accounts for 10.7% of the world's spam, beaten only by the USA, which is responsible for 11.5%. This is a shift from October 2008, when the USA accounted for 26.5% of all viruses, as compared to China's 9.9%, and 15.4% of spam, compared to China's 5.5%.
The top ten sources of viruses are China, the USA, Australia, Korea, Brazil, the UK, Turkey, Poland, Russia and Italy, while the top ten sources of spam are the USA, China, Australia, Brazil, Korea, Turkey, Spain, the UK, Poland and India.
