Kenya - unlimited day-time on-net calling plan

Celtel Kenya Offers Unlimited Talk Time

Celtel Kenya, the second largest mobile operator in the country, has launched a service that will allow subscribers unlimited talk time provided they use airtime worth 99 Kenya shillings (US$1.50) daily.

Subscribers will be required to register for the service that will be operational between 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, said Michael Okwiri, Celtel Kenya corporate communications director.

The service would be available to prepaid and post-pay subscribers from July 4 and will only apply for calls made within the network.

This is the time to migrate to Celtel, they have so many offers and calling is almost free, said Milka Wairimu, a businesswoman in Nairobi.

Celtel is Kenya's second largest mobile service provider after Safaricom, with a subscriber base of 2.1 million subscribers against Safaricom's 9.2 million customers.

"Celtel Kenya will continue providing innovative products to mobile phone users," said Okwiri. These services will be spread all over Kenya, our footprint has improved and we will continue covering more areas.
