VODAFONE SACKS 260 EMPLOYEES IN TURKEY
British-based mobile phone operator Vodafone has laid off 260 employees in Turkey and 280 job positions have closed, a company official said Thursday on the condition on anonymity. The lay-offs came as part of "an organizational overhaul" and to increase efficiency, the company said in a separate statement.
The company CEO has recently denied rumours that Vodafone would hand over its operations in Turkey to Deutsche Telecom.
