Brazil - A survey found consumers do not consider it safe to pay bills by telephone

[Fundação de Proteção e Defesa do Consumidor] Poll conducted by the Fundação Procon-SP noted that the consumer does not consider safe to pay your bills via the phone. Among those personally interviewed, 75.56% said they would not find safe and among the internet users, 66.22%. The continuing technological advances are allowing multiple functions to the mobile phone: send and receive messages, take pictures, download music and access the Internet, which currently adds to the possibility of using cellphones as credit cards and debit cards. Specialists in banking technology points to the use of cell phones as the future channel more financial access for the population of disadvantaged socioeconomic status. But will this population is ready for this? Is accustomed to make comparisons of cost-benefit? Relies on the security of information transmission?
