Telstra - offering corporate Ethernet

Telstra International introduces Ethernet Private Line services

Telstra International, a division of the Australian telecomms operator Telstra Corporation Limited, announced on 15 August the introduction of the Telstra Ethernet Private Line (EPL) network service.

The services, based on secure dedicated Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH) technology, reportedly offers the privacy and reliability of private leased lines, with improved scalability and flexibility.

EPLs extend well-established local area network (LAN) technology to the wide area network (WAN), reducing the need for additional investment in communications equipment, infrastructure and maintenance. Customers will be able to select from granular service speeds of 2Mb/s to 1000Mb/s according to network usage.

Telstra International also offers 24x7 technical support and has developed a system of partners and investments in over 50 cable systems worldwide.
