Roaming: Saudi Telecom Co. has launched unified roaming, reducing prices to some countries by 50 percent

[zawya] STC has launched its unified international roaming service covering Europe, Australia and New Zealand, utilizing strategic partnerships with mobile services providers in those areas.

To mark the launch, STC has introduced fixed prices that have been reduced by 50 percent.

STC started the unified international roaming service in 2008 with two groups covering the Gulf countries, Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkey and South Africa.

In addition, STC already provides air and marine roaming.

STC is the largest company in the Middle East in terms of international roaming agreements and to date has signed with 1000 international mobile services providers around the world for both post paid and prepaid lines, international 3G, MMS, Jawal Net and visual calls.

To create awareness about its international roaming services, STCSTC has launched a roaming rewards program with 40 prizes to be won during the spring and summer seasons. The grand prize is SR100 thousand and in addition STCSTC is offering many valuable gifts. The rewards program comes as a mark of appreciation for its customers' trust in STCSTC services.
