Azerbaijan - Nar has reduced rates for roaming to other CIS countries

[wireless federation] Nar Mobile has lowered roaming rates in a number of CIS countries. Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan have been moved to ‘Zone 1′ on Nar Mobile’s roaming map.

Calls in Zone 1 are charged at US$0.63 for incoming calls, US$1.70 for outgoing calls, and US$ 0.44 for outgoing SMS messages. GPRS data will cost US$7.5 per MB.

Rival Azerfon-Vodafone recently implemented a similar strategy as part of a push by the CIS countries to make roaming in the region cheaper.
