Qatar - Qtel has cut roaming rates to European destinations for 100 minute blocks

[gulf times] Qtel has introduced ‘Shahry Passport’, a roaming service that helps its customers gain value in a range of networks in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, UK and the US.

Shahry Passport offers 100 minutes of calling time for QR200 – just QR2 per minute – on selected networks within these countries.

The minutes can be used to call back home to Qatar, make any local calls or receive calls from any destination.

The Shahry Passport can be easily activated by sending the code PCE A to the number 114 and deactivated by sending the code PCE D to the same number; otherwise it is automatically renewed after 30 days to make it easier for long-term travellers.
Qtel already offers ‘fantastic’ value for travellers within the GCC through its “SmartRoamer” service, which enables its customers to call home for QR2 and call within the country for just QR1 a minute.

Now, with the new Shahry Passport, Qtel said its customers can ‘enjoy great rates’ when they travel in distant places.
