Tanzania - Zain has cut its Internet tariffs in half based on the connection to SEACOM

[Tanzania Daily News] ZAIN Tanzania has slashed its internet tariffs by more than 50 per cent for its customers who wish to access the internet anywhere in the country.

The move is expected to enable more than five million customers to enjoy the most competitive and affordable internet services on the widest network.

Announcing the development in Dar es Salaam on Wednesday, Zain Tanzania Marketing Manager, Mr Costantine Magavilla said that the move is a way of keeping the company's promise to lowering broadband tariffs after it was connected to SEACOM.

"We are aware that our customers want to access the internet wherever they are and they are looking for the most convenient and affordable way possible to do this," he said.

With this new tariffs and bundles, we guarantee our customers affordable rates and quality for their internet access designed for both our prepaid and postpaid customers, he said.

Mr Magavilla added that apart from the company's commitment to consistently deliver a better quality service to all its customers, internet users will find our speed to be higher and competitively more affordable.

"We believe these new tariffs offers will enhance the internet experience and usage in the country positively impacting on the economy as a whole," said Mr Magavilla.
