Sweden: Operators have agreed on speed marking for mobile broadband to help inform consumers

[Dow Jones] TeliaSonera, Tele2, Telenor and 3 have Monday agreed on common guidelines for marketing speeds of mobile broadband.

MAIN FACTS: -The operators will as soon as possible, but no later than September 1, begin using the new speed marking.
-New speed marking means customers can see the practical maximum speed achieved instead of theoretical maximum speed.
-Agreed practical maximum speed are:

-Speeds for the mobile broadband technology edge and wlan is not included in the trade agreement.
-Telia will, on their own initiative, also communicate practical maximum speed for edge (0.2 Mbps) and WLAN (22 Mbit/s).
