Dutch operator Reggefiber has finalised a EUR 285 million loan from the European Investment Bank and five commercial banks. The loan will help the company with its continued expansion of FTTH networks and target to pass 1.1-1.3 million homes by 2012. The EIB cited the company's role in meeting the EU's Digital Agenda targets and its open operating model as support for the loan. The ten-year loan is provided by ABN Amro, BNP Paribas, Friesland Bank, ING and RBS. The EIB announced first in January that Reggefiber had requested a loan of EUR 130 million. Reggefiber is a 59-41 percent joint venture of investment group Reggebourgh and KPN.
