China: one operator has abandoned domestic inter-province roaming charges for customers

[JLM] China Telecom subsidiary Jiangsu Telecom intends to cancel in-province roaming fees for "One Home," a combined fixed-line and Internet package, subscribers that are CDMA "e Surfing," Telecom's 3G brand, users starting May 1, reports Sina. The report said Jiangsu Telecom is the first operator to cancel provincial roaming fees.

Earlier this week, Cnbeta.com cited unnamed sources to report that China Telecom may cancel roaming fees for e Surfing users from May 1.
