UK: four of the top ten ‘Internet Rich List’ are executives of online gambling firms, showing the success of the industry

[gamingalerts] If there was any more proof needed, regarding the profitability of the online gambling industry, it was delivered on last weekend as The Sunday Times revealed its annual ‘Internet Rich List.’

This year has seen the top ten dominated by the internet gambling industry with four of the top ten being executives in online gambling firms.

One observer said, "While other industries have been hurt by the economy, Internet gambling continues to thrive. That is the reason we are seeing this list dominated by people within the Internet gambling community."

Leading the way is PartyGaming in second, who’s founders Russell De Leon and Ruth Parasol are reportedly worth £700million.

PartyGaming also had two other executives listed in the top ten with operations director Anurag Dikshit in third, said to be worth £559 million and marketing director Vikrant Bhargava in ninth, with a net worth of £230 million.

Bet365 was also represented in the top ten by founders Peter and Denise Coates who are estimated to be worth £400 million.

Topping the list for a second consecutive year however was Peter Cruddas, founder and owner of internet securities dealer CMC.
