USA: Mobile poker games are to be available, immediately the law is changed to permit gambling, though not directly through the iPhone service

[marketwire] Hop-on, Inc. announced today that their upcoming iPhone App will allow users to play Texas Hold 'Em for free. Once legislation is passed, users will then be allowed to wager online through its licensees.

As Apple does not allow for real bets to be placed within their iPhone apps, Hop-on is developing an alternative for users to enjoy the App with play-money. For App users who desire to play live with real bets, a link within the App will direct the user to a site within the iPhone Safari browser. Both the Google Android and BlackBerry Apps will be direct links to the Internet gaming site through the respective browsers.

As a current promotion, Hop-on will give those who sign-up on Facebook and MySpace, prior to the taking of online wagers, a $20 account credit. For a limited time only, those who sign-up will be given a credit to their casino account for live betting on streaming Texas Hold 'Em and other casino games. Players will receive their $20 credit on their account utilizing Visa or MasterCard debit cards that will be issued from the casino. In addition, Hop-on will award a $2 credit for every friend referred, limit up to 100 friends.
