[prnewswire] Lebara Group, the global market leader in providing high-quality low-cost international mobile services, today announced the strongest financial results in the company's nine-year history. Lebara Group's annual revenues for 2009 totalled EUR371m, an increase of more than 105% compared with the previous year. These strong financial results maintain Lebara's position as one of the world's fastest-growing mobile companies and demonstrate its outstanding performance despite the challenging business conditions in 2009.
The company, which now has more than 2.5 million active mobile customers, also announced the creation of over 400 new jobs throughout the Group for 2010. The roles, which range from positions in the company's operations teams through to sales and marketing, will be across all of the geographies in which the Lebara Group will operate in 2010, including: Australia, Denmark, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland and the UK.
In December 2009, Lebara was ranked as the Best Overall Enterprise at the Asian Achievers Awards in London. In its ninth year, the Asian Achievers Awards is independently judged and highlights the contribution of Asians in every area of society.
