[wsj] Mexico's telecommunications regulator, Cofetel, said Friday night that incumbent operators and potential new entrants have purchased bidding rules for two auctions of wireless spectrum that the government aims to complete before the end of June.
In a press release, Cofetel said that 44 companies purchased bidding rules for the auction of spectrum in the 1850MHz-1990MHz frequency band, and 49 companies bought rules for the auction in the 1710-2170MHz band.
