Taiwan: Govt to resolve dispute between ISPs on interconnection of Internet traffic

[DIGITIMES] Taiwan's National Communications Commission (NCC) has indicated it is collecting opinions from ISPs (Internet service providers), and plans to soon propose draft IP (Internet Protocol) peering charge rates and ask Chunghwa Telecom (CHT) to lower interconnection fees.

Taiwan Fixed Network and New Century InfoComm Tech, two operators of fixed-line telecommunication services including broadband access to the Internet, have criticized CHT's high IP peering charge rates and demanded NCC take regulatory measures.
